New test :

HLT restarts even though my bluetooth sensor is off.

* sensor alway paired in android (sensor always power off)
* start HLT
* add bluetooth sensor in sensor liste

HLT restarts to the main screen.

I hope it will help you Harry.

Sorry to repeat, but it is most probably some configuration / conflict or general BT stack issue for the Galaxy Tab 4. Please do not forget to check for any other BT device around probably disturbing operation.

I just did a factory reset on the Galaxy Tab 4 and it still has issues connecting to the QStarz. I have not installed SoloStorm after this reset. Later today I intend to try the connection with a VBOX Sport. My guess is Harry's is having issues accessing the Bluetooth stack on the Tab 4 and it isn't SoloStorm creating the problem. I could not find any discussions on the BT stack or factory GPS helpers on the Tab 4.

Try Bluetooth GPS App on the Store, can be a temporary solution for us.

The VBOX Sport exhibits the same behavior as the QStarz- consistently reads "Not available". I went ahead and reinstalled SoloStorm and it was able to properly connect to either device. There appears to be something wrong with HLT's connection to BT on the Samsung Galazy Tab 4.

Another test :

* i downgrade my phone on wiko 4.4.4 (kit kat) Rom
-> the external gps sensor is working fine

* i upgrade to wiko 5.0.2 (lolipop) Rom
-> it is connected 2/3 second and the connection swapping between internal/external.

I have not other application intalled, only the "wiko's ROM" and HLT.

But Bluetooth work fine with bluetooth headset, or bluetooth car speaker.

So after i have changed settings "use LE sensors" to OFF, and reboot APP.
It seems good. My QStarz stay connected.

Thanks Harry for help, i thinks the problems come from some app installed before, but i dont know which :s

Just to make sure I understand the situation: once you turn BT LE off, the connection is stable with both OS versions, the later in particular?

On kitkat BT LE was ON, defaut setting, and the connection was good.

On lolipop i need to change BT LE to OFF to have good connection.
