Analysis causes program to close

Post by Harriet »

When I tap one of my laps (bar graph), a larger window begins to appear but then the program closes. All other screens seem to work fine.

I'd suggest to update to the latest iOS version first. Not sure it will help, but 8.0 has received quite some fixes since it has been released. In case the problem is not going away, and in case you are not using an English language setting, please switch iOS to English and try again. In case this doesn't help or you are on English already, please export your laps to .hlptrl and send them to me. Maybe there is some special data constellation LapTimer is not prepared to work with.

Updating iOS fixed the issue. Thanks!
BTW- The problem first occurred after I updated from Petrolhead to Grand Prix.

A new issue appeared during my last track day. I added a Dual160GPS. Now, the displayed RPM, throttle position, etc. from my Automatic Gen2 OBD has slowed to about 1 Hz or less. The previous track day, the OBD update rate seemed to be multiple Hz.

Try to reset the BT stack by turning BT off and on again. I have no idea about the BT bandwidth required by the Automatic adapter. They run a parallel connect to their app while communicating with LapTimer. It actually should work, I had a VBOX Sport at 20 Hz plus a BT 1 OBD running without a reduction ins speed. So 10 Hz from the XGPS and the Automatic should work too...
