Location of overlaid videos

Post by devenh »

I used to be able to find the overlaid videos in the DCIM folder of my iPhone 6 when it was plugged into my Windows 8.1 PC. But last night I overlaid a video, and while I can see it on the device in Albums, I cannot find it in DCIM from my PC.

What have I done wrong?

Sounds like you need to adjust you iTunes sync settings. iCloud may influence that too. It is an iOS / iTunes thing at least.

I was able to locate the video file with iBrowse. It's in the DCIM folder, but unlike all other photo and video files, it has a lowercase extension (.mov vs .MOV). Could this be why I can't see it in Windows Explorer?

I'm not familiar with Windows, but I doubt this has any influence.
