Extend lap time display on video overlay

Post by super.doug »

Hello there. I've searched for an answer to this for a while with no luck. I would like to know if/how I can have the final lap time displayed on the video after crossing the finish line. I usually have the video extend ~ 10seconds after the finish, but all the telemetry overlay shuts off immediately upon crossing the line. So you can only see the final lap time for the briefest of instants.

Im ok with all the other overlay info shutting off, but it seems like this is a pretty vital function - creating a lap video with timing, it should be easy to see the lap time.

Btw, I love the app, been using it for ~ almost 3 years now! Thanks for all the hard work.

Actually you should see the lap time after passing finish. It is hidden 10seconds after passing it. Exception: in case you have disabled the display of time or the countdown in Overlay Configuration, it is not shown.

Got it, thank you! I just didnt make the connection between the countdown and the lap time. Just made a new video to test and works as you described.

Cheers!

Can you explain in detail where this menu is? I can`t find it in my Grand Prix version?
I like to have the video going for an extended time at tracks with different start/stop locations.
BTW GREAT APP !!

When starting the overlay, you are in Overlay Configuration. This screen has sliders for an extended intro and outro time adding some footage ahead and behind the lap overlaid.

Yes this is a great function, but I use the GPS in Laptimer to start/stop the recording. The problem is that the recording stops when passing the finnish line. I like the recording to continue for x minutes after passing the finish line?!
This is only a issue when driving at tracks with different start/stop position. E.g Nurburgring Nordschleife Bridge to Gantry.

Please check Video Documentation available from www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation. Search for "Mixed Mode" recording.
