iPhone 6 and Hero HD2

Post by meterman »

I looked at a lot of post and the LapTimerDocumentation - Video Chapter but still can't seem to get the Hero to show up when recording. I"m not sure but I don't see this step:
Make sure you have set the correct Wi-Fi mode for the HERO. In the HERO’s settings, select Wireless Controls ‣GoPro APP;

when I connect the GoPro APP and then click Connect and Control, click the wrench, scroll down to Wireless Controls I see two options, Use with Current Wi-Fi Remote and the other choice is Use with New Wi-Fi Remote. I don't see GoPro APP as a choice.

any thoughts on what I'm missing here?

Hi,

The description is on HERO3 cams. I don't know the HERO2 menu structure in details, but the assume the BackPac will basically come with the same two WiFi modes the HERO3/3+/4: one to connect to the cam using regular WiFi (app like GoPro App or PC), and one to use GoPro's proprietary remote controls. The former is what is needed. The most frequent issue with HERO connection making is a missing or wrong password to enter in LapTimer's Settings. It needs to be the same like the WiFi password for the wifi created by the BacPac.
