I've now developed a workflow for my racing - I shoot on GoPro and record using Laptimer on my iPhone 5. I used to shoot video on the iPhone, but there's so much junk flying around in a vintage race that it could be damaged very easily.
So I have to merge the Lap Timer and Video files together. Previously, I've done this on my iPhone, but it is quite difficult as the screen is relatively small.
So Question 1 - I have Laptimer on my iPad - can I do the merge of Lap files and video there? It would be so much easier with a bigger screen.
Question 2 - if I export the Lap details using the "Send" option, the iPad and iPhone connect and they transfer - but only 1 lap at a time. With a long race, that is pretty frustrating - can I transfer all my laps in one race at once? That would be much easier - if its a 15 lap race, and if the GoPro isn't edited, then once I get the first lap aligned with the start/finish, the rest should fit into place perfectly.
Cheers

Re: Multi Lap overlay on iPad
I've done one lap overlays with an iPad. The impetus was picture in picture that just wouldn't run on a 4s. If you're in the Lap List page and not an individual lap, there's a Send Trackday option that should work, but I haven't tried it. Then you should be able to move the video into the Documents folder using iTunes file transfer. But again, I've only done that for one lap.

Q1: yes. Q2: exactly, the Transfer function in Lap List will transfer the complete last trackday. There is no other option from Lap List.

Thanks, Harry, I've got that.
So I've now got timing data from a 15 lap race on my iPad, and I've got the go pro video for that race also. I know how to overlay a single lap - but how do I overlay a whole race?
I understand that with a single lap, I need to select a lap to edit and then click on add video and then synchronize the end of that lap. But how do I do that for the race? Do I still select the last lap and set the video as I cross the finish line and Laptimer then works back and overlays all 15 laps?
thanks for your support and a great app

Re: Multi Lap overlay on iPad
You select any lap from the session / race you can recognize in the video. Once you set the sync point (end of lap), LapTimer will ask you if it should sync all the other laps covered by the video too. Agree, and all the sync points are set consistently. To overall more than one lap at once, select one lap of the session for overlay and extend the overlaying range in "Overlay Configuration".

Thanks, Harry - worked perfectly. It couldn't be easier once you know how to do it.
