Using a Gopro as master

Post by samellio »

Hi all,

I have an Iphone 6 and a gopro hero 4 black.

I'd like to use my gopro as the only video recording then overlay the data from my iphone. Is it possible to do this without using the iphone video too?

I use my iphone to operate the gopro through the gopro app.

Sorry but I'm not too technical so if anyone could explain how to do this in the most imple way I'd be very grateful!

Many thanks,
Sam

Record both videos (internal can be set to a low resolution) and delete it from laps to overlay (swipe delete the internal video preview in Lap Details). In case you want to keep it to but switch the GoPro vid to Master, press Edit and drag the GoPro video up to the master position.

will this work also with a Sony HDR-AS30V? I'm going to rive on a FCA proving ground facility and the security will blind all phone cameras...

Yes, LapTimer v19 supports Sony cams for external video recording. I will update the video documentation soon to show which cams support which features (it is diverse).
