I am having a problem overlaying obd data to several sessions recorded yesterday at Goodwood,
I have a gopro video as the master and the iphone video as the 2nd video, using gopoint BT1, it works fine to overlay a single lap but when trying to overlay the sessions the odb and gps/g sensors data freezes as I cross the start finish line, (this is right at exit of the pits or at the end of the first warmup lap)
I have set the obd settings to Sequential requests and auto exclude PID's to on, Harrys lap timer often says slow update rate from the sensor) car is an 05 Impreza STI the data update rate has always been a little lethargic but I have not had these freezing odb/gps/g-sensor problems before at Spa or the ring etc. overlaying with the Iphone footage does not cause the issue it seems..
oddly the speed and corner names still pop up in the top left corner.
I have no other applications running on the iphone (6 64gb) and have enough free space.
Any advice or help you could offer would be greatly appreciated
Problem with session overlay and Gopro master footage.
Re: Problem with session overlay and Gopro master footage.
Can you please check if the OBD data is available in LapTimer's database. Check Lap List -> any lap not showing OBD data -> Data Recording / Preview -> Charts -> RPM. Does it show changing rounds per minutes values? If yes, the problem is not the data but the overlaying routine. I had some problem reports for consecutive laps for v18 but I couldn't reproduce the issue for the latest development (v19) version. As v19 will appear soon, I'd suggest to re-try the overlay one it becomes available. In case it doesn't work again, we need to exchange data and log some information.

Re: Problem with session overlay and Gopro master footage.
Hi Harry,
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly, I have one short 7 second lap (clicking on/off of lap timer on the cooldown lap at end of a session) at the end of the very last session of the day that looks to miss obd data but on inspecting the charts there are RPM changes and G changes there.
I'll wait for the updated version and try again and let you know how I get on.
just of note, I also get the same problem when excluding obd data and just trying to use GPS/iphone sensors it stops as you cross the start finish line when using go-pro footage.
Many thanks once again for your quick response.

Re: Problem with session overlay and Gopro master footage.
For trouble shooting, you need to check if the problem is on the OBD recording side, or the overlaying side. In case OBD works fine, it is an overlaying issue and vice versa. You can check that now - following my description above. Please focus on the laps showing the overlay issue.

Re: Problem with session overlay and Gopro master footage.
Hi Harry,
It seems that when you overlay with the Iphone camera as the primary video and Gopro as #Camera2 then it works fine overlay the entire session without issue. You can also notice a slight frame jump on the gopro footage at the end of every lap.. Does this mean the 2 videos are not synced correctly, I will try again with v19

Re: Problem with session overlay and Gopro master footage.
The specific video source should not influence the overlay...
