Good night,
I recently bought HLT Petrolheads for my Note 4 as i will use it on Autódromo do Estoril in the coming month.
I made a quick vídeo on a road near home, with a start and finish style.
I configured the Start and Finish points, got myself ready and got the Note 4 on movie record standby mode (it started as i passed the Start pinpoint).
All went good, i got the data and the vídeo.
The problema is when i overlay the data to the vídeo. The final vídeo is sluggish and lots of "breaks".
I think the smartphone processing is not the issue here.
I'll wait for your response and if you need any data from me just let me know.
Thanks for the help.

Overlay issues with Samsung Note 4
Re: Overlay issues with Samsung Note 4
Hi,
That's a known problem for some Samsung devices (or more general specific video encodings and the video library used) - there are some threads around already. I plan to replace the video library short to midterm. In case the current version is not useable for you, please check the "Extended Refund Policy" on http://www.gps-laptimer.de/LapTimer_Products.html Sorry for any inconvenience.

Re: Overlay issues with Samsung Note 4
Thanks for the reply.
Isn't there any other way to overlay the telemetry data into the vídeo?
I tried exporting the data to .csv and use racechrono2avi, but it tells me the .csv file is not valid.
I will try to avoid the refund (beeing my last option), as i want to support your product, and im even willing to help you test some options if needed (as beta tester or something similar).
Please let me know if there's something we can do, or there's really no other option.
Best regards.

Re: Overlay issues with Samsung Note 4
You can use TrackVision or Dashware plus LapTimer .csv exports. Both are paid tools, but they are compatible. I have spent by far too much time on compatibility for various Android devices for the current video library - and I cannot spent even more. I have a new library version on my list for the next major release, that's all I can do currently.
Thanks for your offer, I hope you can understand.

Re: Overlay issues with Samsung Note 4
I have no Note 4 available for testing, but I have seen several reports on dropped frames and bumpy results. I plan to update the video library for the upcoming Spring release of LapTimer. In case it doesn't work, please feel free to apply for a refund as described here: http://www.gps-laptimer.de/LapTimer_Products.html
