Laps Recorded, but no Video

Post by bertmerv »

Hi Harry,
I am using Petrolhead on an IPhone 5s, IOS 8.0.2. I am using the phone to record the video, and the phones GPS. I have successfully recorded video, and overlaid in the past. On my last track day, when I returned from my first session, I saw a "NO Camera symbol" in gray in the preview area. When I attempt to overlay, I get a Master file missing message. The same "NO Camera" symbol shows in the Video List. I tried to relink with no success. I have ample storage. During the day, I checked system status to make sure everything was OK, video was enabled and set to auto-record and the phone was showing video on screen. Everything looked ready to go. Data was recorded as normal, the laps show a camera symbol, but it seems no video was recorded.
I found one other posting with a similar problem, and I checked the storage, relink suggestions that you made. Any other ideas of what may be wrong?
Thanks.

What is the video's file size? Have you used the latest LapTimer version? After introduction of iOS8, the old LapTimer version showed this incompatibility (zero bytes video).

My laptimer is version 18.3.4. Video file size for the "failed" videos does show as zero in the video list.

It has been a known bug from iOS8 up to version 18.3.3 - which had been release a week ago.

Sorry, but I can't do more here.
