You may try the Fing app - it scans your local net.

Ok - I was able to check - IP address is 10.5.5.109 on the wifi connection. I tried changing on the expert setting but still doesn't seem to work

Changing settings isn't effective until the program has been moved to the background or killed and restarted.

I have a ten character password and I don't see any space. I'm betting that's your problem.

How do I get rid of the space in the password field - it seems to auto add this space

10.5.5.9 is the correct setting in HLT. Go to master settings with the camera connected and look at the connection information. You should see IP Address 10.5.5.109, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Router 10.5.5.9 Everything else should be blank and HTTP PROXY off. The Wi-Fi setting on the GoPro should be GoPro App. I still think it's your password.

What's the character before the space? Is it, perhaps, at the bottom of the keyboard near the space bar like C, V or B?

Ok - I changed the pw - now I get the gopro icon on the app - not sure why it kept forcing the space. Still isn't turning on the camera but the gopro icon appears in HLT

If the placeholder appears, the IP is fixed. If the GoPro doesn't start, it is the password... The only idea on the space is some auto correction iOS applies?

Ok - now that ip is corrected - I tried to change the pw to one that doesn't contain any complete word - saved, ended all apps, resynced, connected and no it is working. Thanks for the fast responses and patience.
