Include all split times in best lap

At an autocross this weekend, I set a split trigger at a point on the course that would be passed twice in the same direction resulting in effectively three split triggers and four segments. The segment times showed correctly for the individual laps, but the optimum lap only used three of the segment times.

Please check if all your laps recorded come with 3 splits / 4 sectors. I have been told LapTimer sometimes generates double splits when used with VBOX, so the problem may be you have 0 seconds sector in one lap. LapTimer will happily chose this sector as it contributes to a virtual best a lot

Speaking of additional splits...how comes I can't delete just the wrong additional split? When swiping over that split the delete button appears but when using it all splits are deleted. Recalculating or checking the lap results in the same wrong 5 splits. Any workaround for that?

Splits are always deleted completely. Have you found a lap where an additional split is generated when recalculating? That was what we have been looking for to fix the VBOX issue!

Yes, recalculates 5 splits every time. Its on it's way to you.

It showed up with the very first lap. There were 4 sectors in the lap and only 3 in the virtual best lap. I thought I had my XGPS160 plugged in, but it wasn't and the battery went dry. The plastic bit in the 12V adapter was broken and I think I put the USB cable in upside down. Making sure the battery light turns red when I plug it in is now on my mental check list. I couldn't get the VBOX Sport to connect. Since I had a co-driver and there was very little time between runs, barely enough to check tire pressures, change numbers, spray the tires with water to cool them off and get belted in again, I didn't have time to troubleshoot the problem so I was forced to use the internal GPS. It was a great demonstration of why you need a high GPS update rate. The accuracy of the internal GPS on the move left a lot to be desired too.

I deleted all the laps and re-imported the .hlptrl file and now I see four sectors in the virtual best lap. Curious.
