Stop timing when stop trigger isn't detected

Post by gplracerx »

At yesterday's autocross, I made five runs with everything working, start, stop and splits. Then on the sixth and last run, the timer didn't stop at the finish line. Now that it's possible to recalculate laps after moving the trigger points, the ability to stop the timer manually without purging all the data for that lap would seem to be a valuable addition.

Yes, the Logger support added lately should make this possible. I plan to add a special category (just like "Unspecified", maybe "Incomplete") where both recordings started manually and stopped automatically, and started automatically and stopped manually will go. Both types will be marked as manual recordings. I will move these fragments to a special category to not run into problems with lap to lap comparisons. Once such a fragment is re-assessed using the "Verify Lap" recalculate function, complete laps recognized will be automatically be moved over to the correct track. Before this verification makes sense, either corridors or triggers need to be changed.
