Overlays cut off last second or two of video

Post by gripdaddy »

Good afternoon. I tried HLT out for the first time at a recent Auto-X.

Everything appears to work correctly. When I try to make an overlay for a lap, I can see that the raw video starts very close to where I positioned the start. The video runs and stops a few feet after where I positioned the finish. So far, so good.

When HLT makes the overlay, it cuts off about the last second before the finish line. I also have GoPro video that I made outside of HLT. I cut the video down to exactly the start and finish and imported this into HLT. If I try to make an overlay with this video, I get the same result - the overlaid video is about a second too short.

Anyone have any advice about how to get the overlaid video to be the entire lap length?

In case the data / video alignment is fine, just add 1 second at the end if the video (Extro slider).

Don't. Leave a few seconds on either end. Syncing the video to the finish line can be a pain, but it gives you the option of having video before the start (the intro slider) and after the finish(extro)
