I just did a DE Day at Limerock Park this weekend. Used the newest version of Petrolhead V18.0. I use the Dual 150 GPS on B/T. I ran my first session and forgot to set the video to start automatically. It recorded all 10 laps. On my next two sessions, I ran the video (autostart at start/finish line). It started on my pit-out, but both sessions it stopped recording early. One session I got five laps (out of approximately 11 total) and the other I got five including one erroneous one that showed a lap time of 6 seconds.. (which would be pretty awesome). I didn't stop or pit-in on either of these sessions. How do I troubleshoot. This?
The same type of thing happened last season on our last DE Day up at Watkins Glen. On day 2 HLT just didn't want to record more than five laps.. it would stop itself even though when I came in, I had to stop the video as I hadn't crossed the start finish line when pitting in...
Ideas?

Are you sure LapTimer has not been interrupted by an incoming call or something like this?

Re: Petrolhead is Limiting number of Laps recorded with Vide
that is possible... an incoming call will stop the recording process? Will DND prevent that? or do you have to turn off the cellular radios (airplane mode) and then enable Bluetooth separately??
Re: Petrolhead is Limiting number of Laps recorded with Vide
No, DND does not block incoming calls. You may forward calls to your mailbox or remove the SIM card. One user reported that turning Airplane mode on and enabling BT manually afterwards works too as long as you use an external GPS. Not tested from my side.

Interesting. It's hard to understand why an incoming call will make the entire process fail... but if that's what it is, then that may explain a few problems I've had. I will try Airplane mode with Manual BT on my next track day. Thanks!
Re: Petrolhead is Limiting number of Laps recorded with Vide
When LapTimer is sent to background, it closes all sensor connections, it requires foreground operation to work. Once back in foreground, it should certainly pick up laps again. In case you see a different pattern, please let me know - maybe it is a different problem. Next time LapTimer does not record, please check GPS reception and the small radar icon in the top left / status gadget.
