Dove in headfirst with HLT and love the product. I've been using it for AutoX events just to make sure I have it right before some track days. Recently shot IOS 5S video, IOS Multicam, and Go Pro footage of 6 laps. No problem getting all three videos sync'd up, doing the Go Pro work around, and overlaying those.
BUT
If I want to go to my first lap (slowest) and in the overlay options choose reference lap, I get an error message.
"The reference lap and the lap to be overlaid use the same raw video. Due to a technical limitation in video reading, this configuration is not supported currently."
These weren't continuous laps like during a track session, so I assume the video is different file in the background somewhere in HLT, no? I've searched the forum quite a bit and just couldn't find an answer. No crashes, no delays in overlaying whatever I want; except the reference lap. Even deleted one of the PIP videos from the slow lap, "making room" for the reference video in case only 2 are allowed.
Anyone have an answer?

Re: Error Message when Overlaying Refrence Video
LapTimer will bring up this message when the lap you are overlaying (say #1) and the reference lap it selects (say #5) share the same raw video. Please check the reference lap chosen by LapTimer: go back to lap #1's details and scroll down to the Data Recording section. You will find a row showing the reference lap (e.g. #5). You may need to adjust the reference lap by selecting a different lap. To select a specific lap, goto that lap and press "Reference" in the bottom of it's Lap Details.

Re: Error Message when Overlaying Refrence Video
My reference lap is from a different session and I get the same error. My initial attempt was from the same session (video). I have tried using laps/video from different days and moving video to the photo library, neither work. Link shown for videos for the laps used is definitely different.
Re: Error Message when Overlaying Refrence Video
You are right, I just checked the code... The comparison between lap raw video and reference lap video is ill-formed and needs to be corrected. I will submit a bugfix release soon, so you should get the fix in a week or a week and a half. There is no workaround available, sorry.switcher wrote:My reference lap is from a different session and I get the same error. My initial attempt was from the same session (video).
