Cant touch phone while overlaying video!

Hi there. First off, WOW, what an app, i cant believe you can do all this on a smartphone!

Anyways, i have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and everything works fine except one thing:

When i overlay video, i cannot turn off the screen using the lock button, or plug in/unplug the phone during overlay process. If i do, the process bugs out and stops, and only overlays part of the video.

If i leave the phone plugged in, with screen on, it will finish properly, but i dont really want to leave the screen on for an hour! Is there a way for me to lock the phone or shut off the display without it crashing the overlay processs?

Currently, only this mode is supported. For longer overlays, please dim the screen, but it needs to stay active and the app needs to be in foreground (any other activity will not get any resources anyway
