Novice questions for HLT Android rookie - where?

Post by froggy47 »

Where is the best place to get started?

Is there a sub forum for android?

For example when I turn the app on & want the help section I am blocked because the app shows an orange dot "press staged when ready"

Don't want that, just want to look at help screens to learn.

This means you have set an Autocross track at the current position ;-) Please change your location by 50 meters and the dialog will go away. Now, switch to Lap List using the options menu (3 dots in the top right). Next, long press the row showing 2 POIs and Triggers in the AX xy section you will see. This will remove the AX you created accidentally. Now you are ready to select Help from the options menu.

Usually I suggest to start with the quick start video available in LapTimer's home screen (www.gps-laptimer.de). The video uses an iPhone version - but it us pretty much the same for the Android version.

There is no specific Android or iOS section here on the forum. Except some UI differences, functionality converges over time,

Hope that helps,

Harry

After the long press, I had to touch the trash can to delete. Is that correct?

Is there a setting to get an email if my post is responded to?

:)

On a permanent basis? Or do I need to ck the box each post?

Usually, when posting, you will automatically be subscribed to a thread / forum. You will get a notification as configured in your profile. You can check subscription status in the top left of the forum screen (it is difficult to see).
