I also concur that Hero+ operates auto on/off and start/stop recording. I'm using Android HLT on a Galaxy S6 Edge.
However, I too notice that when when in preview mode the PiP is not supported and I cannot view the video in HLT. Screenshots attached.

Re: Hero+
Hi Harry, is there any plans for official support of the Hero+ LCD? Over the Christmas period retailers & etailers have been heavily discounting the Hero+ LCD (around £99!!) in the UK with large quantities being sold. I know it's possible to sync the video data later as per your excellently thorough ...

Android Petrolhead - problem with Maps & OBDII
Hi, I'm using Harry's Lap Timer (Petrolhead edition) with my HTC One (M8) and am having a problem with the Maps view.
When I go to 'Map' it never loads - even with clear GPS signal as verified by the app and with good data connection (even with strong Wifi signal outside my house). I am only using ...

Re: Android (Rookie edition) + Race Render 3?
Dashware and TrackVision look good.
The phone is ideal for data logging, but often not possible to mount on track days to use as a camera, so need to capture that separately.

Re: Android (Rookie edition) + Race Render 3?
Thanks for the super fast response Harry.
Yes I agree on the convenience and cost - but I've not yet come across a one device solution within the realms of affordability. Do you have a set-up in mind for this that would be beneficial?

Android (Rookie edition) + Race Render 3?
Hi everyone.
I've got the Android Rookie Edition (patiently waiting for petrolhead/GP edition :D ) of Harry's Lap Timer
I've got a RoadHawk HD dash cam that I use for road and track day recording. I have recently also downloaded the Race Render 3 software.

Re: Combination options for android (OBD + GPS)
Thanks Harry. Very useful info contained in those links. I'm going to go for the Kiwi BT OBD plug (built in power management means hopefully I can leave it plugged in) and await further news on XGPS160.
Keep up the good work.
Tom

Combination options for android (OBD + GPS)
Hi everyone,
I'm in the market for both an OBD2 reader (either WiFi or Bluetooth) and an external GPS device for use with the recently released Android version of Harry's Lap Timer (HTC One).
I want to be able to have the phone in a holder and powered constantly via USB to the car USB port.
