I confirm eveything is fine.
The issue was due to the fact that the homepage of my websever (where I uploaded the kml file) is CGI enabled.
I discovered the issue looking on the resulted xml file generated by the Laptimerapplication, where I saw the erros about "frames not supported ...

I tried to load/import the kml file that I host on my web server, but I alwazs get the ERROR screen informing that the "POI Set could not be loaded fron the Server, error #39. Please try again later".
The server is up, since I can download the file by accessing the link from another computer ...
