Using GPS Speed instead of OBD
The gopoint BT1 in my 335i updates at 6-8Hz. I got a Dual XPS160 which now updates at 10hz. I'd prefer if the speed indicated in the overlays was the GPS speed because it seems more accurate as it updates more often. But also, other folks that I run with on the track (and we compare corner speeds et...

Trying to import an hlptrl file, nothing happens
Trying to import an hlptrl lap (just one lap), its in my email. I choose the file, long press and it says "open in harry's lap timer" (version 17) I choose that, and nothing happens. The "choose app" dialog goes away, but then it just sits there in the email message, and nothing ...

Re: XGPS150 5 Hz update.
No, misunderstood, LapTimer just measures, I'm aware it is not the source for any issue (at least here :-D ). Did you get a differential lock (shown as "3D+" or "DGPS" in LapTimer)? When I testing mine yesterday with latest firmware and iOS version, and got 5 Hz, it had clearly ...

Re: XGPS150 5 Hz update.
Well I tried so hard ;-) Precision display does not change anything, correct. But that is item b) from my note. Item a) is a different topic and I'd suggest you re-test once v17 is available. The raw data attached above are recorded at 4 Hz, you can see that easily by watching the time stamps (.25,...

Re: XGPS150 5 Hz update.
In version 16.6.2 and before, all update rates were displayed using one decimal digit (e. g. 4.9 Hz). As LapTimer measures update rates instead of using any by-design values, the display typically has been a bit bumpy (not sure this is the right term - I meant it changed a lot) without having a dee...

Re: XGPS150 5 Hz update.
Please test your update rates again once v17 is available. I just tested the Dual and receive solid 5 Hz (even when increasing precision to one decimal digit. IMG_2298.PNG - Harry Will do Harry, I am looking forward to it. This is what I see every time: Screen Shot 2013-03-20 at 11.57.35 PM.png

Re: LapTimer (Rookie, Petrolhead, GrandPrix) v17 announcemen
Harry any chance of implementing a 0-60, 1/4 mile, and 60-130 (0-100, 400m, 100-200km/h for metric) type of measurements? With the upgraded GPS units like the emprum or Dual XGPS these measurements should be reasonably accurate.
