Laptimer picking up start/stop marker at another turn

Post by adamsekulow »

At Atlanta Motorsports Park the Start/Finish line is relatively close to the exit line of Turn 6. And very often HLTP pick up the S/F coordinated and counts the lap and restarts the lap time. I have even gotten rid of all the POI's except the S/F but still the same thing. I am using the Ultimate GPS, but might have old firmware. Are there any settings that can help the situation. The car is a 911 RS 4.0 if that matters?

Thanks,

Adam

Please either move the stop/go trigger to the outside of the track (so it is a little further away from the counter straight), or set the detection corridor to "Narrow". LapTimer allows a certain distance to the left and right to accept triggers. This distance or "corridor" can be set to "Narrow", "Normal", "Wide" in LapTimer's settings. I'd suggest to switch from "Normal" to "Narrow" first - this will make LapTimer more picky.

Maybe someone familiar with AMP wants to add?

yeah i am member at AMP and HLTP works great on two of my other cars M3 and Boxster Spyder but for some reason the 4.0 is giving me a lot problems. I am going out tomorrow and will see if I can fix the problem.

Thanks. You may send a KML sample afterwards, these exports are great to analyze problems with trigger detection.
