I get a warning: "location service is disabled for either your device or lap timer. Please enable the location service in your setting app, lap timer requires this service to work correctly"

I'm 60 years old with my first iphone and I'm no techie, hust want some in car video while tracking my car

You need to enable location services for LapTimer again (in general: in case you are asked if LapTimer is allowed to ..., allow it). Enter the Settings app (not LapTimer Settings), select Location Services, and enable Location Services in general, and for LapTimer.
