Hello everyone.

I've tried to fix the iphone on the steering wheel of a karting this friday. It was not well fixed, i've used an armband , but too long for the steering wheel , so the iphone was always moving. So , the G forces was not well determined. Do you think that's why the chronoS was not good ?

Moreover, if I find a good solution (do you have some ?) for fixing the iphone on the steering wheel, is the chrono can be precise even if the G forces are disturbed ? Maybe it can with a dual xgps 150 ?

Last question , is it necessary to put informations POIs (for turn) ? or is it just for the user ?

Thank you

Hi,

Acceleration is certainly disturbed when rotating the phone. However, the timing is done by GPS only. So you will have no valid acceleration values, but valid times. In case you had problems with timing, you need to check your GPS situation. Which iPhone version do you use? A Dual will certainly help.

The POIs for turns (Information, not trigger) are used both to get a nicer display in data recording, and in overlaid videos. They are not required for operation however.
