My first use for track day - great stuff!

Post by cgardnerma »

Hi folks,

Here's link to my first try. I think it came out great and this tool is amazing.

The app is not without issues, but there is nothing else that even comes close. As others have mentioned, I would like to be able to overlay and export multi-lap sessions. This one was spliced together in iMovie. I also noticed that there is a delay in the start of audio on the clips which causes a brief dropout in audio when doing this. Easy to fix by configuring intro/outro time on each clip, but it makes editing harder.

For those wondering, it is an iPhone S, shot at 720p, in a Panavise windshield mount, I will use a remote mic next time.

There are also a whole bunch of bugs that require closing and restarting the app to workaround - esp around landscape/portrait orientation and viewing videos. I will check the problem report section and post the issues if no one else has done it.

To get session videos, please use the v16 session export and an external video overlay software.
In case you find bugs in the latest(!) version, please post a description here or send it to Harry@gps-laptimer.de
I monitor bugs closely and so far version 16.0.4 is very stable.
