Problems in 1st use

Hi to all.

I'm trying Harry's Lap Timer Pro on my Iphone 4S with standard internal gps.
I'll buy an external 5Hz Gps, but now I've tested (2 times in 2 different days) the app with the internal one.

I have 3 problems:
- day 1: time measured on track is ok, and also the track drawned is ok;
day 2: I have 2 laps instead of 1. I have the track divided into 2 half track. So times are not correct.
A correct lap is 1'30", I have 1 lap 60" and second lap 30".
I don't understand why.
- I made video and I can see, when I'm recording it, my name on the left, the track ad also the speed on it.
But when I see the video (after recording it) I see only the video, without overwritten speed.
- How can I export my video to my pc?

Thanks.

Please check the sticky note on none or more than one recordings for one lap in this forum first. In case you use your own trackset it might be necessary to adjust the trigger so LT will not pick it up on the counter straight. In case you use a predefined track set, set the detection corridor to narrow (Settings).

To get an overlaid video, please press the Overlay button in your recorded lap's details.

I use a predefined track set, so I've setted the detection corridor to narrow.
Now I will be ok for next days, right?
And the past wrong laps......can I adjust it or I can only delete those wrong laps?

I've tried, but I have an Error "Lap timer failed writing the overlaid video. Error reported is '-11800..........."
Maybe I have not so much memory free (my Iphone is 16GB).

Thanks.

Yes, that might be the reason. For a full HD video LT requires approximately 380MB per minute to overlay and pass over to the Photo library.

Sorry if I repeat the question, but I haven't understood.

These half laps results from LT detecting a trigger that is actually on a counter straight - at least not thought for the current position. Setting the corridor to narrow will let LT ignore this trigger most probably. The whole story is described in the sticky thread mentioned.

Joining these laps is possible, but not trivial. To accomplish this, you need to export both laps to hlptrl format, joining both using a text editor, and sending the joined hlptrl file back to an email account accessible on the iPhone. From here, you can import it back. The challenge is joining the two hlptrl files. You need to fully understand the structure, and calculate a lot before you can join them. Have a look into it if you like.

Thank you very much.
I've tried to do it.
Now I have difficulties to import the file.
In the App I go to "Lap List", I select the button on the top left, but I can import only from friend (bluetooth).
How can I import the file from the email?

Thanks.

Long press the attachment and select LapTimer as app to open. Have you edited all the fixes? The distanceFromStart etc need to be added , otherwise you will get strange effects in the app.

Ok thanks.
It is too much hard for me.
It doesn't matter, I'll delete those wrong laps and I hope next time the laps will be recorded correctly.
