Transferring databases from Android and ipad to new ipad

Harry,
I have used an iPad for a long time and recently an Android phone with Laptimer. I am now intending to dedicate another iPad (iOS 17.7.1 or 18.1.1)) to Laptimer in my track car (V8 Miata) and purchased an additional copy of GP Edition. After reading documentation at viewtopic.php?t=3341 and exporting the databases I have spent hours unsuccessfully unzipping the files and attempting to import them on the other iPad.
Questions:
- The original iPad .hlptrz file is 18MB. After unzipping using 7-zip it is 251MB but has no file extension. Did it unzip correctly and should I add .hlptrl to the file name?
- The Android .hlptrz file is 4MB. After unzipping using 7-zip it is 46 MB and again has no file extension.
- Can I restore both databases in order to capture the laps both from the original iPad and the Android, or do I need to pick one?
- After mailing the 18MB .hlptrz file to the iPad and downloading the file I can see it in Apple Files/Downloads or ES File Explorer. Nothing happens when I touch it on the iPad other than opening a window with file name and stating "LapTimer compressed lap data". What to do...
- The 251 MB file is too big to attach to an E-mail. Should I store the unzipped files somewhere in the iPad in order for Laptimer to find and restore them?
- In case I can put the files in the right location in the new iPad I believe I should restore in Laptimer via Administration, Databases, Local backups. Correct?
Also. can I get the acceleration to record correctly even if the iPad is mounted at an angle to the right of the shifter?
TIA,
Ola
