Using external timecode to sync audio and video from multiple devices

Wondering if there is a way to use externally generated timecode to sync data and and video. My setup has the following items:
  • Zoom F6 audio recorder, with multiple microphones recording car engine and exhaust sound
  • Hero 10 camera
  • Veepak OBD-II dongle
In my setup, Zoom F6 is the main timecode generator. It is connected to the Hero 10 with an audio cable. Zoom F6’s timecode is added to the Hero’s video file to help align the audio and video down to frame-perfect level.

Now, my question is the following: with LapTimer, can I take advantage of the externally generated timecode that is present on the Hero video file as a separate audio track and help align the all the various data tracks and the video track?

Hello,

The only sensor timestamp used by LapTimer is GPS. All other sensors (including video / audio) are synchronized using the sensor delays (see Expert Settings).
