Problems with speed and track map

Hi Harry,

I've just uploaded some video that I took at the track last Wednesday with ver v15.3.1

I use the iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 (no sim) connected to the PLX kiwi wi-fi. (I think I forgot to enable the OBD data)

The video is in two parts as I was on a cool down lap until a pesky Porsche driver went past and I couldn't resist following him

Don't hold that against me as I've had two Porsche's and my race number is 959 :)

Can you please take a quick look at the two clips I just uploaded. You will see that the speeds and a bit out of sync and the track maps are a little out. In the past it was a perfect track layout and I selected the map to use and all the laps are under the correct track.

In video #2 you can see the track map completely changes.

The other problem I have experience with this version was that the auto record sometimes didn’t stop recording if I existed the track and when for a cool down run up the main road. I'm sure I never had to stop it before but I could me wrong on that one.

Lastly, when generating the video overlay it sometimes just has an overlay saying skipping frames. I've left the phone overnight to process but it never goes away.

I have just updated to the latest version so I guess I need to go back and test it.

Regards,
Pat

There is a little discrepancy between the GPS data stream and video in #1. It is not too much from my perspective... However, if you want to have a better sync, you need to change the Video Delay setting in LapTimer's Expert Settings. This will change the alignment between GPS data and video frames. The second video simply had a very bad GPS accuracy, the track overlaid is always derived directly from the lap's GPS positions.

Hope that helps.
