I am trying to send a copy of the backup to my email address so that I can download it onto my iPad as my iPhone 12 struggles with big video files. Unfortunately when I press to email the backup it says that the device is not configured to send emails. I have put my email address in ( in the expert setting area) but no joy.

Any help would be appreciated. It worked fine doing it on my iPad.

Alternatively, is there any way of syncing my iPhone and my iPad

Mail is sent using your Mail app. So you need to setup your Mail app to use that function. The email address entered into LapTimer is just a convenience functions. It is propagated to the TO field in the mail generated.
