I'm considering to buy either GoPro 7 or 8 for videos and enhanced GPS for HLT.

Wich one would you recommend? and why?

For LapTimer integration: the older the better.
From a 3rd party PoV, GoPro messed up the interface to be more complicated with every new version released.
