Hi Harry

Lap time speech messages are scrambled when I have my Android phone in Language German (CH).
The voice still tries to speech the time in english but pretty scrambled.

When I switch language to English it's all fine.

I use laptimer v21.2 GP Edition on an Android v7.1.1 phone.

PS. Why don't you support language setting in the app?

Language settings in apps are not the design of choice nowadays. Instead, apps provide a set of languages supported (texts, images, formats) and the OS selects the language depending on the user‘s preferences. So the selection is actually done in your Android Settings app.

One possible reason for speech output in English while German ist set is that speech files are not loaded for your Android phone. Often, these files are not preloaded and require some manual download. Speech files are not part of LapTimer but an OS feature.

So your Android Installation tries to speak a German language prepared text and does not find a German language speech set. So it is falling back to English.
