I am trying to get the following setup running and I am having some issues with the multi camera:

Phone: Nexus 5X running Android 8.1.0
GPS: VBox Sport
OBD: OBDLink MX WiFi
Camera: 2 x Sony FDR-X3000
Software: Harry's LapTimer GrandPrix edition

The issue I am having is that LapTimer does not find the Sony cameras when in tethered hotspot mode. If one camera is connected directly to the phone via WiFi then LapTimer sees the camera. I can't use this configuration as it won't allow me to use my OBDLink MX WiFi as the phone is associated to the camera's SSID. Additionally I wan't to control front and rear facing cameras. I need the phone to act as the hub with a hotspot SSID and all the remote devices such as camera and OBDLink connecting to it.

I can get the camera's working fine with the phone as a pair using the Sony app. Both have been configured correctly in multi-camera mode and have connected to the Phone's SSID. If I launch the Sony app I can stream video from and control both cameras. However LapTimer does not see the cameras. What seems to be the issue?

That's an unsupported configuration currently. LapTimer will control one external action cam at max. When the MX Wifi has been released, it featured a client mode that allowed it to connect to an existing network (e.g. action cam). This mode however never worked reliably and at some point they dropped working on the issues with the chip manufacturer... I rarely recommend WiFi OBD adapters any more, BT and BT LE are the better solutions.
