I'm trying to direct transfer videos from my Hero 5 black to HLT, without loading videos to camera roll and re-linking. I think it must be possible because the compatibility page says so, but I do not see how to do it.

What am I missing?

This doesn't work reliable once videos are bigger (full session videos for example). The downloads from HERO cams are pretty unstable - which is the reason it is disabled for HERO3 cams by default. Cam integration for HERO cams will be reworked for v22 (Spring 2018), it is possible GoPro's own libraries work around this issue better...
