export / import problem
Hi Harry,
I am having a problem backing up and restoring HLT data. Exported a file of 527 laps. It is about 17.7 megabytes. The device is iPhone 4, IOS 7.1.2, HLT 21.0.6. I am trying to import the data to an iPad with IOS10.3.1 and HLT 21.0.5. After the export, I select the attachment, then "copy to laptimer", then laptimer asks if I want to import, and I say yes. After a while it says that it imported one lap, 133 GPS fixes and zero cars (there was a new car defined in the export as well as some older cars).
I tried the export several times. First with an older version of HLT, then with the newest.
Please help.
Thanks.

Re: export / import problem
How did you export? For a file that large, I would think you would need Dropbox rather than email.

eMail. The file received has an indicated size of 17.7 mb (using iPad). When I save the file to a windows system the filesize is 13,729 kb.

Re: export / import problem
That sounds like the file was corrupted somewhere along the line. Dropbox is free for files that size and in the past has worked well with HLT.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
Re: export / import problem
Try forwarding the export to Harry@gps-laptimer.de and I will check for corruption.

Hi Harry. eMail sent.
Re: export / import problem
Fine, received it. The problem is not size but some corrupted video links. In general, it should be possible to repair this by running a "Check Data" ahead of the export. For your convenience, I'll send a repaired version back by email.
