Hi,
Since the Dual is not recommended at the moment what other GPS are recommended? Would the Garmin GLO be a good option?
thanks!

The GLO should be fine - or the Bad Elf for Lightning.

The Dual works fine for me with firmware 1.5.1. It isn't beta either.

Yes, the Dual works fine with the old 1.5.1 and the late beta linked to the Known Issues thread here on the forum. The current production version seems to have issues with late iOS versions (which is the reason I had added the disclaimer to the compatibility list).

I just got the Garmin today and during testing it seems like I only get 4hz rate. Is that normal? Anyway to get to 10hz? Thanks

This is what happens if LapTimer receives the GLO's data using the iOS location service and does not access the sensor directly. Please check if you see the Garmin Glo Sensor in your Sensor List. Make sure you have not disabled direct access in LapTimer's Expert Settings (Accessory Tweaks/Use Accessories). For further help, please post your full system configuration.

Hi Harry thanks for the reply. I do not see the Garmin on my sensor list. I see the iPhone one as connected and around another 10 or so that show disconnected but no Garmin on the list.
My setup is as follows:
iPhone 7 up to date
Garmin glo with latest update (also tried prior to update)
GoPoint BT1 that works without problems.
LapTimer grandprix v21.0.5
I did check and the option for external accessories is enable which I expected since the BT1 works.
Thanks

I'm sorry, I mixed up things. LapTimer v21 has Garmin VIRB (cam) and Bad Elf (GPS) support added. The Garmin GLO is not yet supported using direct integration for iOS. Instead, you will see the named 4 Hz update rate reported for the internal sensor (which will be the GLO).

Any plans on supporting the GLO in the near future or should I just return it and get something else?

I just checked their developer portal again. Although they are offering a lot for 3rd parties now, the GLO is still missing.
