I thought you were able to specify sectors for an autox course? Would be nice to do that during a course walk in the morning to help give further detail in to lost or gained time...
If it is possible, how do i do it?
If not, I guess i will add that to the suggested features thread!

Set up the AX using the Autocross assistant first. This will create a AX track in Lap List including a start and a stop position. Once this is done, walk to the position you want LapTimer to add a split time and goto Analysis -> Realtime -> GPS. Press the "+" button in the riot right and configure the point of interest creates with 1) type "Trigger" 2) trigger type "Split" 3) make sure the POI Set entry is referencing your new AX course created using the assistant.

Once i back out and go to live data to add the trigger points, how do i get back into my auto course that is already setup?
Every time i click the autoX it starts over to set up a new start finish.
Thanks for the awesome product and support!

There is no need to "get back". Once a track is set up (and augmented), it is available for use automatically.

Go to the lap list screen. That's where the course information will be accessible.
