So i bought the grand prix edition. I need help i can't preview the go pro hero 3 black edition on the app and i can't seem to overlay it either but if i hit record it starts recording both my phone and go pro but it won't let me just control the go pro or give me a view of what the go pro is seeing. any ideas?

Yes, you need to transfer the raw footage from GoPro to smartphone before you can watch or overlay it. Please have a look into Video Documentation available on www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation. It includes step-by-step descriptions on transfer methods by platform.
