Slow Throttle Position Frequency from BT1

I use a Go Point BT1 to get data to Lap Timer. I recently started having a problem where the throttle position is displayed too "smoothly". For instance, if I blip the throttle on a downshift, the graphic display on the Lap Timer video doesn't show it. But it will show a smoothed range of input as if it were only getting throttle position data every 1 or 2 seconds.
Any ideas what would cause this? It worked perfect for a couple of years but now have this issue.

In case it worked with exactly your current configuration before (no change of car or smartphone), you may wan't to unpair and repair the BT1. Next, please verify there is no disturbing BT source around. Second smartphone, car stereo etc. All BT devices share bandwidth, so other devices may take away too much.

Thanks. I just tried your suggestions but no luck. I dont have anything else paired to this phone other than an external GPS module. I've used this GPS module in the past and didn't have this throttle frequency issue.
I've also checked my Go Point unit to make sure the firmware meets your requirements. It's good...
Model 9105
Firmware 177.0.6
Hardware 1.0.0

You could try the GoPoint or BT1 app, I forget which. The right one will give you a running graph of any particular OBDII channel. You'll want to kill the HLT app so nothing else is accessing the BT1 dongle.

LapTimer disconnects any sensor when sent to background. No need to kill it to work around conflicts. That's different for most other apps.

I checked and the throttle position movement on the Go Point app is very quick to update... much faster than Lap Timer. Why would LT be so slow to get updates from the BT1?

The data acquisition rate in HLT is determined by the GPS update rate. If you're using the internal GPS, that's 1Hz, which could miss a throttle blip. Assuming you're using an external GPS with a higher update rate, you always need to check to see if the phone is still using that GPS when you're acquiring data.
