Android phone and laptimer app not using SD card storage

Help on issues you run into with LapTimer; in case you have a question on how to use LapTimer, use the forum "Using LapTimer" instead

Android phone and laptimer app not using SD card storage

Post by el__rapido »

Hi all,
I cannot download videos from my Go-Pro 4 to Harry's Lap Timer app on my android phone because it is trying to save the videos to the internal memory (which is very limited) rather than the external SD card. I've searched the forum and found some information but ultimately it hasn't helped so far. I'm running a Sony Xperia Z3 compact. Is there any way to get the laptimer app to look to the SD Card rather than the internal memory?

Thanks

Yes, please start with having a look into Video List. Each of the sessions listed represents a storage place in your internal or external memory. Identify a section representing your SD card and copy your video to this place. More information on this is available in Video Documentation on www.gps-laptimer.de/compatibility.

Thanks, looking into it and will check your link. Actually seem to be able to overlay via Lap List as well.
(video list only shows as SD Card emulated)

Sorry, the link should be www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation. In case your device has an external SD card and it is not shown in Video List at all, there is something wrong with storage detection. Please make sure Storage permissions are granted in Android's Settings app (there is an App section showing permissions by app). Kill and restart the app afterwards.
