New user issues

Hi there,

I have Harry's GP, a Kiwi3, a VBOX Sport GPS, GoPro Hero 4 BE & an iPhone 6+ latest OS.

I've recorded video in 4K/24 fps superwide. When I go into my lap, and try to preview the video, it just hangs and crashes. When I try this again on Export, it either crashes, or processes a few frames then crashes.

Any suggestions? Nothing else is open on the iPhone.

With one GoPro and no other camera, should multi-cam be set to Master?

Thanks,
Neil

Hi,

Not sure iOS can handle the specific 4K format. Please move the video to Photo app first. This is one by selecting Video List and the video discussed. Press the "move to Photo app" button (shown as a kind of flower) to move the video from LapTimer's sandbox to iOS's Photo app. Try to play it from the Photo app. In case this doesn't work, you need to select a different 4K (or a FullHD) resolution. 4K overlaying has been tested with internal cams only.

When remote controlling a single HERO (without internal cam), select "Master" as MultiCam Preset. This however, will switch the H4's video resolution to 1080 (FullHD).

4K on a smart phone or tablet is massive overkill. I wouldn't bother with it on anything less than a 60" diagonal monitor. Even then, you need to be watching from fairly close to the screen. When my Pioneer Elite 1080p plasma display dies, I'll consider buying 4K, not before.
