Loss of GPS Signal when using GoPro via WiFi

Hi,
I have been using HLT and my GoPro flawlessly for over 12 month, however yesterday i noticed something unusual (because it basically broke).
When i launch HLT it was 'all set' and ready to do timing, I sat in the pits waiting for my session. Turned on my GoPro and checked the video connection by choosing video in the timer screen. Connection all good. Then HLT lost GPS signal. Once this occurred i was unable to obtain GPS signal. I turned off my GoPro and relaunched HLT and GPS was fine. I did the same thing in the next session and reproduced the issue to a tee.
Anyone else experience this with the new update?
Details;

You can force a connection reset to any external and internal sensors by simply sending the app to background (Home button) and pull it forward again. Although connection technics are different, this is the same for internal and external GPSes. So whenever you see there is an issue with a sensor connection, home/forward the app. It may help. Any sensor and connection technology can fail on modern devices, so sometimes this is necessary.

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in response but the suggestions provided do not work.
I noticed the behavior occurs as soon as the the iPhone connects to the GoPro WiFi. Once i shut of the WiFi on the GoPro the GPS signal returns.
I have also noted that when it connects to the GoPro is shows other devices i do not have, such as ODB.
Please see the below images of the statuses:
Before connecting to GoPro - iPhone GPS working
After connecting to GoPro - shows a different GPS system and no update rate.

This means LapTimer switches to a WiFi GPS it recognizes accidentally. I assume it is related to some unexpected network configuration of your GoPro's network. To workaround, please install the app "Fing" first. Connect to your GoPro WiFi network. Start Fing and press the Refresh button in the top right. Touch the top most row showing a network symbol and the GoPro's network SSID. Create snapshots for the first details page displayed (with a map in the top). You will need two snapshots to cover everything. Send these snapshots to
Harry@gps-laptimer.de
To work around GPS WIFi sensor connections in general, please change LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Settings ‣ Expert Settings ‣ Accessory Tweaks ‣ Use WiFi Sensors ‣ OFF. But please start with the above snapshots, otherwise I have no chance to fix this in general. Thanks.

Email sent with details requested.
Hero 4 Black is currently on v03.00.00 firmware however this was the case previous to the v20 HLT update. HLT and the GoPro would function by default.
Would you like for me to upgrade to the new v04.00.00 firmware for the GoPro to see if there is any improvement?
iOS is currently 9.3.5 - I do not remember which iOS version i was on when i originally experienced the issue.
By the way, thank you for the support
