Accelerometer data reversed on single lap

Post by angryfist »

I recently started using HLT with my GoPro Hero4 and XGPS160. Everything seems to be working well together but I noticed that the lap I exported with overlay video are now showing the accelerometer data reversed (both lateral and lineal) if I go back and check the track map preview. I checked the lap previous to this one and the lap after and they are both showing the correct accelerometer data. Only this one lap got corrupted. The video that was exported shows the correct accelerometer directions.

I'm not sure how this happened or how to get it to revert back for just this lap.

Any ideas?

To flip acceleration, select the lap from Lap List and scroll down to Data Recordings. Next, select Charts and swipe to the G-G chart. Press one of the flip buttons here to adjust acceleration.

Ahh ok. I didn't realize that playing with that effected the track map preview and also the video. Makes sense now.

When I was playing around trying to fix this issue I recalculated the acceleration data and now it's super choppy. I can't figure out how to revert this. Is it possible to undo this?

No option to revert this. Just recalculate it again and use the smooth slider to make it more realistic.

If you're going to recalculate acceleration, export the lap as an .hlptrl file first. Then you can import that to revert.

Is there a warning that changes from recalculation of acceleration cannot be reversed in the recalculation dialogue? I haven't done that in a while, so I can't remember.

No matter how I recalculate it, it just gets worse. Also, there is only a warning that you cannot revert changes if you choose "Smooth Data". There is no warning for recalculating acceleration.

The item to select is Recalculate - Acceleration. The warning is issued when measured data is overridden. In case you have calculated data already, a warning would not make sense and is omitted.
