Hi Harry, thank you for your great app.I just need an advice how to AUTO RECORD my laps at track using my gopro h3.
Last weekend I completed setup and everything were ready to record my track session.
In the end i found out that the app and gopro recorded only the first starting lap .
I assumed was everything set to have auto recording after the start line,i also got the message on the screen.
( i get the moment to ask you if i record only using the external gopro if the obd data will be recorded)
Thank you for your help
Max

Re: auto record
[Moved to Using LapTimer]
Please go through the Quick Reference included in LapTimer to understand the general process to record laps. I write this because I never known where you start from. I highly recommend to start with the basics and make sure the automated recording process is working. Once this is fine, advanced features can be added.
So once you have this working, here are the steps to record with an action cam:
1) Make sure you have LapTimer GrandPrix
2) Set up the action cam using the manufacturer's app - this includes the WiFi setup
3) *Kill* this app - it will conflict with other apps accessing the cam
4) Make sure the phone is connected to the cam's WiFi
5) Start LapTimer, goto Settings
6) Select the correct cam type and enter the correct password (WiFi) for HERO3/3+ cams
7) Goto LapTimer ‣ Race ‣ Timer and press Video
8) In the Video Operation dialog coming up, select the right most operation type (external cam only).
9) Make sure the the message changes and reports a HERO is connected, leave the dialog by pressing Done.
Everything else works like usual.

Re: auto record
Not killing the GoPro will be a problem, the two others not.
When tracking an issue it is always a good strategy to start with a simple scenario and add complexity one by one.
So in case you still see issues, start without anything but LapTimer and the HERO.

Re: auto record
Harry,
It's difficult to tell that English is not your native language. I think, however, that ...'with nothing but'... is a little cleaner than '...without anything but....' If I remember correctly, the German would be '...mit nichts als....'
