xgps-160 accuracy (?)

I seem to be having problems with GPS accuracy with the xgps-160. Several laps got grouped together as the GPS line appears completely off the track (I'm not particularly good on the track, but I'm not THAT bad!). Any thoughts? According to the GPS helper app on the iPhone, the xgps160 did show me to be in the correct position when sitting still in the paddock.

This is most probably not a XGPS plot but one coming from your internal GPS. Maybe the connection dropped or the device ran out of battery... Please check the "lap's" details from Lap List. I assume you will see a 1 Hz update rate here.

You can probably get your laps after the fact: select the multi-lap recording from Lap List and press Recalculate ‣ Verify Lap. When asked, select Wide corridor. In case this doesn't work, increase the Wide corridor from the standard 40 meters to e.g. 80 meters in LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Settings ‣ Expert Settings ‣ Trigger Detection ‣ Wide Corridor and repeat the re-calculation.
