I have an nice shiney iPhone 4s on order.
I plan to use my existing iPhone 3GS for harrys lap timer to save any potential damage to the new phone.
I use HLT with the Dual Xgps150. (Bluetooth connection)
Can I run the iPhone without a sim card, and have HLT work with the XGPS 150?

Yes you can. Certainly without online functionality like submission to hall of fame, or the Map View, or download of new track sets.
