Which viewer do you use to display the video? Some viewers do not respect the rotation metadata included in videos and show a physical orientation only.

…well, good question… how can i find out?
if i open harry's lap timer app, go on 'auswertung' and after that to 'runden'
you find in my case 66 rounds and if you open them, there are some videos up side down and some straight..

So you are using the internal player... That's strange. Are all these videos recorded with LapTimer? Any special mounting position? LapTimer autorotates videos recorded in whatever orientation. There have been issues with rotation some years ago, but this is fixed for a long time... Which LapTimer version are you using?

…its v19.0.22 and before every stint, i placed my iphone vertically in this holder behind my windscreen.
maybe in one or the other vertical position.., i don't know, but normally my iphone brings images always
in the right position… maybe i was to fast or to many curves in oschersleben..
i'm a little afraid to lose the videos, if i try as an iphone-genius to fix it..
is there any way to backup all of it before i mess it up?

Backups:

On video orientation: LapTimer should handle any orientation correctly. Please make sure your do not rotate it when driving already. Rotation will be blocked while driving and may lead to unexpected results for acceleration measurements (and probably video orientation).

Anyone needs to post a description on how to reproduce this. As written above, this will happen in case the orientation is changed while driving (which is discouraged). But I'm not aware how to force this orientation problem otherwise. Exception: when playing the video using any video viewer ignoring the orientation meta data, this may happen too. In this case, please change the video player (use VLC for example).

Upside down video using front camera

[Merged with existing thread]
The video image is displayed and recorded upside down when I use the front camera on my Nexus 6 running Lollipop. The rear camera works normally.
Is this the cause?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpos ... stcount=13
According to the above the orientation on portrait mode for the Nexus 6 should be 270 degrees, not 90 degrees, and apps should follow the code example at

No, LapTimer knows about landscape from rotation to left and right. I have a Nexus 6 with MM available for testing and will add this item to my Winter todo list. As a workaround, please try the opposite landscape orientation.
