Android GoPro WiFi transfer size limit?
Android GoPro WiFi transfer size limit?
I am trying to transfer a 20min GoPro video (~3.5GB) of a track session to my Android over WiFi to add the overlay. It works for smaller files (~500mb) but not for these larger files, the transfer progress never starts. Can I transfer the file manually using a PC? Any special file names?
Re: Android GoPro WiFi transfer size limit?
Hi,
Yes, that's possible. You actually copy the .mp4 file from the GoPro's SD card to your Android's SD card. Instructions can be found in LapTimer's Video Documentation (www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation).

Re: Android GoPro WiFi transfer size limit?
Hi,
Got it working, thanks! Sorry for the beginner question.
Reference for others:
1. I manually copied the 3.5GB GoPro file to the Androids SD card in the HLT folder.
2. The video shows up in the Analysis -> Video List
3. Go to Analysis -> Lap List
4. Select a Lap
5. Select Video Master
6. Click the Camera+ icon in the top right and select your video from the list, accept the warning to re-link the video
7. Press the Overlay button and be patient. It will overlay the video for that lap only.
