used my app for the first time and I love it. I have a I phone 6 with a ram mount and the video is very shaky. I tried some small pieces of tape and it was the same. Any help would be appreciated. My friend recommended this app to me and the mount and uses his I phone 4+ and has awesome results..

Yes, that's actually an issue with the new iPhone generations. Video stabilization built in is making things worse in track conditions... Check the documentation on smartphone compatibility on www.gps-laptimer.de following Compatibility / iOS for more details.

To improve the situation, please turn off all automatic cam features in Video View (option button in the top right) and make sure your RAM mount arm is pointing down (suction cup in top, arm going down, phone sitting actually below suction cup). This will reduce vibrations to a minimum.

Excellent...will go and try now as....I bought the recommended Ram mounts for my IPhone 6 Plus and its has been super shakey and driving me nuts on the ring.

Please orient the arm as described - from top to bottom. No other options from my side.

What is the length of the arm connecting the suction cup to the cradle? RAM makes a 2" long arm, and for vibration, the shorter, the better.

The shorter the better. But using an arm shorter than the one recommended on www.gps-laptimer.de/compatibility/ios will likely get you the suction cup in the cam's field of view.

The recommended RAM mount is solid as a rock...the recommended iPhone 6 plus cradle was not ...but this was corrected with some additional rubber...the issue is with the phone...the video is just rubbish

I agree it is worse than the e.g. 4S videos without video stabilization, but from my experience it is getting at least usable when oriented as described. But this probably depend on track surface and car chassis too...
