Newbie with some daft questions.

Hello, new here and the issues I am having are probably me and my lack of understanding, (PICNIC. Problem In Chair Not In Computer) Anyway, I have down loaded the Lap timer app and Multicam app and managed to create a 'track' close to home for me to check everything worked. When I came to drive it again i day later, with my Go Pro connected I could not find the track in my phone, so 1st question
1. How do I save my own track to my phone and find it again, just for my own calibration purposes?
2. Is it possible to plot a track on a map first, I purchased this app as I Hill Climb and Sprint, the track I am on next week is
not in the list of tracks and I am not sure I will get chance to walk it before competing. It is clearly visible in the maps though.
I appreciate these may be daft questions, however any help will be gratefully received.
Top app, it is going to be so useful.
P.S I am in the UK if that has any relevance.
Thanks
Peter

[Moved to Using LapTimer]
1. LapTimer stores any downloaded and custom created track in its database. There is no need for an explicit "save". In case the triggers vanished, there has been likely an issue, or you deleted the track accidentally. You can always see the "track set" as the first row in a track section in Lap List.
2. A track plot is recorded, not created ahead of driving. So you basically define a start and a stop trigger ahead of driving. Once you are back, the plot has been recorded from the GPS and will be used to e.g. add a track shape to LapTimer's video overlays.

Thank you Harry, I have found the track I created in my lap list, but I can't now get it to work 24 hrs later, I must be doing something wrong?
Thank you for your help,
Peter

Please check if the triggers are well positioned (in Map View). In case you defined a driving direction they need to be passed, make sure you cross then plus minus 90 degree of this direction. Finally, make sure you have a precise GPS position. Just in case: triggers need to be passed with 10 km/h or more, walking them will not work mostly.

I see triggers when I walk an autocross course, but then I usually have 'Allow Low Speeds' turned on in Expert Settings.

Thank you for your help, My next question is how do I set my go pro to record before and after an event, I Hillclimb, so ideally I want the Go Pro to start 100m 1 minute before the start line, then finish 100m 30 secs after the finish line? Is there anyway of setting that?
Also I am going to log a new track that I think will be useful for people (fellow competitors when they see what the app can do) I will start the track at the start line, but I think it will be useful for people to have data past the finish line, certainly from a filming point of view as the timing screen is 100m past the finish line, what is any bodies views on this?
Thanks
Peter

To get additional footage ahead start and behind finish, you need to start recording manually and stop it manually too. To do this, in Video View press the red record button sometimes ahead of the start. When passing start, LapTimer will stop the "manual lap" and start an automatic one. Video keeps running. When passing stop, lap timing will be stopped, but video will continues (manual start memorized).
NB: this works for standard go triggers only, standing go is not supported for this. In this case, you need to operate the GoPro manually and sync footage to lap data manually too.
We add public tracks on closed streets only. In this case either use the assistants to create a track or follow the tutorial on
www.gps-laptimer.de/Tracks.html to create it offline.
